How do I perform a keyword search?
- Select the type of search from the drop-down menu of Keyword search box, located at the top of any page.

- Enter your keyword:
- Search for chemicals by name, synonym, CAS RN, MeSH® accession ID
or MeSH tree number (if prefixed with “chemtreeno:”).
- Search for diseases by name, synonym, OMIM accession ID, MeSH accession ID
or MeSH tree number (if prefixed with “diseasetreeno:”).
- Search for genes by symbol, name, synonym or NCBI Gene accession ID.
- Search for GO terms by name, synonym or accession ID
(e.g., “GO:0008219” or “8219”).
- Search for organisms by scientific name, common name, synonym or
NCBI Taxonomy accession ID.
- Search for references by author (“lastname initials”),
title, abstract, PubMed® ID or Digital Object Identifier (DOI).
- Select the All option to search all these data categories at once.
- Click Search.
If your query did not match any items, try using a shorter keyword, a wildcard, or use an advanced
gene,
chemical–gene interaction
or reference
query.
